What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a detail-oriented and execution-driven Project Accountant to support financial tracking, reporting, and compliance across procurement project operations. This role is critical in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring seamless coordination with procurement teams, and optimizing project accounting workflows.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, balancing financial accuracy with process efficiency. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure the integrity of project financials.


Your Impact

Project Accounting & Financial Management

  • Code and match vendor bills to purchase orders, collaborating with multiple Procurement teams.

  • Create and review project invoices in partnership with the Procurement team and Project Accounting Manager.

  • Clear credit card transactions in the accounting system, ensuring proper recognition and coding.

  • Generate and maintain project-specific reports, summary sheets, and audit deliverables.

  • Ensure accurate recording and allocation of sales and use tax based on project requirements.

Process Optimization & Compliance

  • Maintain and update vendor records within the Acumatica ERP system.

  • Audit vendor invoices to ensure correct sales and use tax calculations.

  • Identify and resolve vendor invoice and purchase order discrepancies.

  • Support continuous improvement efforts, implementing industry best practices to enhance efficiency.

  • Maintain compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal policies.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Procurement teams to ensure financial accuracy and smooth transaction workflows.

  • Work closely with the Project Accounting Manager on financial reconciliations and reporting.

  • Assist in knowledge sharing and documentation of accounting procedures.


What You’ll Bring to Source

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field—or equivalent work experience.

  • 1–3 years of experience in project accounting, hospitality accounting, or related fields.

  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping, general financial accounting, and job cost accounting.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as Sage, Oracle, SAP, or Acumatica.

  • Experience with supporting accounting applications (e.g., Bill.com, Ramp, Avalara (AvaTax)).

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • Familiarity with relevant AI tools and know how to leverage them to significantly enhance and inform your work.

  • Proficient in cloud-based collaboration tools such as Google Sheets, Google Docs, and business intelligence platforms.

  • Experience in job cost, project, and/or construction accounting, with a focus on procurement-related financial tracking — including reconciling purchase orders, managing vendor invoices, and ensuring accurate reporting of project expenditures.

Compensation Statement

Source carefully evaluates multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, education, and training.

In addition to base salary, successful candidates may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and other incentives based on individual and company performance in alignment with Source’s applicable compensation and benefits programs.

Location Disclaimer

This role is remote-first; however, candidates must be located in Florida to ensure alignment with team collaboration and operational needs. Candidates located outside of Florida will not be considered at this time.
